WSS membership is costs $30 per calendar year, provided that the member is fulfils the following criteria:

• Employed by Western Sydney Local Health District,  with Westmead Hospital as their alma matter

• Applicant is a prevocational surgical trainee/junior medical officer with an interest in pursuing a career in surgery OR

• Surgical Education Trainee (SET) rotating through Westmead Hospital for greater than or equal to 6 months, non-consecutively
